Projects / R&D
Explore the CAD, physical prototypes and test observations behind Tech Bot LLC’s modular panels, robotic arm and custom exhaust components. These selected builds show our engineering approach and each project’s current stage of development.
Tech Bot Grid Core
Prototype built and load-tested
The exploded CAD view shows one modular panel; the printed build combines eight using top plates 2mm thick layed over tongue and groove connections. The 28 × 14-inch assembly weighs 7.180 pounds and uses an air core with no foam.
In a prototype body-weight test, it supported approximately 130–140 pounds across a 22-inch gap. This is a documented build observation, not a certified load rating.
Engineering focus: lightweight geometry, repeatable panel assembly and physical testing.

Robotic Arm
Compact mechanical development
Compact gears, joint assemblies and printed structures bring this custom arm from CAD into a physical prototype. The exploded model shows the mechanical layout; the photograph shows the current three-axis assembly.
Development continues toward six axes, with motor sizing, controls integration and repeatable motion testing still part of the work ahead.
Engineering focus: fitting many small components into a modular mechanism that can be assembled, refined and maintained.

Exhaust Parts
Made for Tech Bot Grid Core
Designed around the Tech Bot Grid Core system, these printed connectors and a 90-degree elbow can work separately or fit together. A threaded connection interfaces with flexible exhaust hose.
The CAD and physical parts show how custom geometry becomes a practical assembly, with attention to mating features, access and fit.
Status: CAD developed and parts printed. Application-specific material and operating requirements are reviewed before use.
